Walk Of Depression

Written for my son who struggles with depression and lost his best friend from suicide October 2013

Walk of Depression
by Barbara Sybil

There is a battle where the bruises and wounds are not visible to the naked eye
When one falls the brokenness is not seen, but felt
Where one doesn't bleed out, but inward and the silence can be deafening
Though one screams, their cries go unheard
A path many walk, alone
Fought by many, not always won.
A battle of the mind

May we not turn a blind eye
May we not turn a deaf ear
May we hear each cry to the point of tears
May we be a voice when they cannot speak
Offering hope when all else seems bleak.
So take a hand and walk along with the one that believes it can't be won,
Leading them to the light of God's own SON!

2 Corinthians 10:5
We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
2 Timothy 1:7
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
For God has not given us a spirit of [a]timidity, but of power and love and [b]discipline.

Freedom In Christ

Freedom In Christ

If only the eagle knew that by stepping through the unlocked cage that had held it captive, could he experience what lay beyond the bars. Only when he dared to venture out from what it had known since birth, would he truly be able to understand the purpose of the wind that encouraged and beckoned him to spread his wings, allowing him to be lifted up to soar and do what he was created to do…fly
And only then as he learns to trust the wind through the calm and the storms that come his way, can he truly live and experience freedom.

Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary (NASB)
